Cycle let’s go to Classical Music

In 1991, we decided to organize, produce and sponsor a Classical Music cycle for children to be acquainted with the world of music. It was divided in three cycles: Let’s go to the Opera, it offered abridged versions of operas singing in spanish and with explanations for better understanding; in 1995 it was decided to organized the Cycle Let’s go to the Ballet. In 1997 the cycle Let’s go to the Concert was organized. The cycle Let's go to the Colon includes all plays performed in Colon Theather of Buenos Aires.

Also we produce the cycle Let's go to the Tango since 2003 and Let's go to the Comedy since 2005.

 

Aída Ovsejevich Scholarship

In 1997, the Aída Ovsejevich scholarship was instituted in honour of the mother of the President of our Foundation in order to stimulate Arts.

To Solange Alvarez Caramés: Ballet student at the Colón Theatre Higher Art Institute to participate at the Biarritz and Chansson D’ Or Competition in París (1997).

To Solange Alvarez Caramés: to participate at the Varna Contest in Bulgary (1998).

To Nahuel Clérici: Advanced Piano Lessons by Master Antonio De Raco (1999-2001).

 

Other contributions

Sponsoring of tours throughout our country of soloists from the Colón Theatre Ballet (1986).

Sponsoring of the Alfredo Kraus’ performance at the Colón Theatre (1989).

Sponsoring of the TV Programme "The Other Face of Music", presented by Abel López Iturbe, where different aspects of classical music were analyzed (1989).

Sponsoring in different years of the "Permanent Organ Festival" performed in different public places.

Sponsoring of the radio programme "Music Panorama" in Radio Clásica from Monday to Friday 19 to 20 pm (FM 97.5) where different aspects of classical music were analyzed. This programme was conducted by Napoleón Cabrera and Juan Carlos Montero, both musical critics (1991-1997).

Sponsoring of tour to Europe of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires (1994).

Sponsoring of the edition of Aurora Opera Magazine - Book at the Colón Theatre (1999).

Sponsoring of the National Symphonic Orchestra in the 16th Edition of the "Music Festival and Canarias: Festival of the Five Continents", that took place in Spain during January and February 2000.

Auspice of the Scala de San Telmo’s "Competition for young students of music: year 2000: Wind Instruments" (2000).

Sponsoring of the Homage to Alfredo Kraus, organized by Friends of Alfredo Kraus Association (2000).

Sponsoring of the radio programme "The Children’s Corner", conducted by Pablo Kohan on Radio Clásica (2000).

Sponsoring of the First Argentine Festival Music in St. Petersburg - Russia. (2000).

Sponsoring of the First Latin-American Congress of Musicology, organized by the National Institute of Musicology Carlos Vega (2000).

 

Special Performances

Private performance to launch the ballet ensemble "Les Etoiles de L’ Opera de París" at the Colón Theatre (1979).

Private performance in honour of the personalities receiving the Konex Awards in 1982, at the Colón Theatre. A Ballet performance was offered: "The Sleeping Beauty" (1982).

Private performance in honour of the 1000 personalities receiving the Konex Awards and the 200 Members of the Jury corresponding to the first decade 1980-1989, at the Colón Theatre. A symphonic concert was offered by the Orquesta Estable del Teatro Colón (1989).

Private performance in honour of the Konex Awards 1994 and to celebrate the 15 th Anniversary, of the Konex Foundation at the Colón Theatre. Haendel’ Messiah was performed, conducted by Yehudi Menuhin (1994).
