Konex Award 1999: Chamber Ensemble of up to 6 Members

Argentinan Chamber Ensemble of up to 6 Members Founded on 05/25/1978 by its Director, the composer Alicia Terzian, with the aim of giving greater impetus to the dissemination in Argentina and abroad of works by contemporary composers, especially Argentine and Latin American. The soloists are Marta Blanco (mezzo-soprano), Fabio Mazzitelli (flute), Eduardo Ihidoype (clarinet), Sergio Polizzi (violin), Carlos Nozzi (violoncello) and Claudio Espector (piano).
Since 1979 it has offered concerts at the main international festivals on the five continents. He performed in the most important halls and theaters. He has already made 325 presentations.
The French company DOM Disques, from Paris, released several compact discs for him dedicated to contemporary music and popular music.
Alicia Terzian is respected around the world as a composer as well as conductor and enjoys enormous prestige. The members of her Grupo Encuentros are recognized in the world for their interpretive quality. 2009 Konex Award.
